Oklahoma Army / Air National Guard Dependants

Qualified members of the Oklahoma Army or Air National Guard with a valid dependant ID are eligible to receive the MSF training free of charge on a space available basis. A valid dependant ID card must be presented to the instructor on the first day of training to attend class.

1. Who is eligible?
a. Spouses and dependant children of drill status Oklahoma Army and Air National Guard members with a valid dependant ID.
b. Spouses and dependant children of retirees are not eligible for this training.

2. What does "space available" mean?
a. Current drilling members of the Oklahoma National Guard have first priority for class selection.
b. Spouses and dependant children meeting age requirements have second priority for class selection.
a. Retirees have third priority for class selection.

3. How will I be notified if I am selected for a particular class?
a. Registration for each class date closes 7 days prior to the class. You will be sent an email at that time if space permits you attending that class.
b. You must respond to the email within 24 hours to ensure your seat is not given to the next space available student in line.

4. Are there restrictions on dependant children?
a. All dependants attending must present a current dependant ID that matches the sponsors ID on the first day of class.
b. Dependant children must be at least 14 years old; the minimum age for a motorcycle liscense in the state of Oklahoma.
c. Students under 16 years of age must provide a motorcycle of 250cc or less for the class.
d. Motorcycles must be size, weight and displacement appropriate for the physical size and experience level of the rider at the SOLE descretion of the instructor.

5. Can my child use their off-road motorcycle for the course?
a. No, it must be a street legal motorcycle with liability insurance.

6. Do I have to stay with my dependant child for the class?
a. Yes, the sponsor or dependant ID holding parent MUST attend the training with their dependant child regardless of their age.
b. You must attend all classroom and range instructions sessions on both days.

7. Are there restrictions on my spouse?
a. There are no special restrictions on spouses who are at least 18 years of age.

8. How will I be notified if I am selected for a particular class?

a. Go to the schedule page and find two class dates that work for you.
b. Click on the dependant registration link on the schedule page and submit your registration request.
